Fireside Chat with Elodie Boyer about the purpose of beauty

Hosted online | Members only

8AM RIO DE JANEIRO • 1:00PM BERLIN • 2:00PM NAIROBI • 7:00PM MANILA TIME

Society tends to think that beauty is shallow. We don’t think of it as meaningful.

For instance, we don't often consider how the visual appearance of brands shapes our public spaces for better or worse. How the beauty of an annual report ensures it is treated with care.

But beauty, in and of itself, has purpose too.

Next week Anne Miltenburg is hosting a fireside chat with brand consultant Elodie Boyer.

Elodie fights for beauty in an ugly world.

Elodie directs the creative work that features on trains, busses, billboards, walls, and even beach cabanas.
She makes cement bags covetable and insurance companies look beautiful. She fought for Tour de France team jerseys that even non-cyclist could admire.

And on the side... she publishes some of the world's best designed books.

We will speak to Elodie about the purpose of beauty, how you set the conditions for world class design, and how you stay sane in an ugly world.
