Presenting our next brand the change academy cohort

We are kicking off the September 2021 Brand The Change Academy and we’re really excited to share the confirmed group of participants. Peers are one of the cornerstones of the success of our programmes, and we’re super energised by this group.

 

Dr. Robert Ddamulira - Uganda/US

Dr. Robert Ddamulira is the co-founder of Forest Pesa, a peer to peer lending platform for forest restoration. Forest Pesa rewards entrepreneurs who develop sustainable forest products and services with accessible loans to grow their business. Dr. Ddamulira is currently in the process of raising investment, and a stronger brand will support that effort.

Hanif Janmohammed - Canada
Many of us are no longer tied to one single place for all of our lives. How do we stay connected and rooted to the places and people we love? That's the question Hanif wants to answer through his project Stonemaps. Stonemaps are personalised pebbles imprinted with maps that hold special meaning to the giver and receiver. The pebbles are connected to a digital platform where the conversations around them can grow. Hanif, the project’s creator, wants to build a thoughtful brand that helps people discover this truly one-of-a-kind artefact.

Ines Baccouche - Tunisia/France
Ines is on a mission to change how the world sees artists from the Middle East and North Africa. She will be further tuning the brand of her gallery ‘Art for Ness’ during the programme.

Maria Lantin - Canada

In a world dominated by shallow selfies, Maria’s project Brain Terrains offers people a richer means of self-representation, showing what is on the inside, rather than just the outside. The brand for Brain Terrains will need to achieve the same.

Zahlen Titcomb - USA

Zahlen is a serial entrepreneur in the athletic apparel space. He will use his time with this cohort to develop the brand for his next venture, focussed on intentional material use and the circular economy.

Emilie Dal Mas - Belgium

Emilie runs the marketing and communications for Nutri Logics, a company that brings science and professional advice into the largely unregulated food supplement space. She wants the company to get the brand it deserves.

Jan Řezáč - Czechia

Jan is the co-founder of a digital agency in the Chech Republic that wants to root its brand more firmly to a human purpose, and connect with clients abroad.

Uyen Dang - Vietnam

The education-to-and-through-employment ecosystem is hard to navigate for learners and working professionals. That’s why Uyen co-founded Song An (Peaceful River), a social enterprise that provides the public free access to a career resources platform and offers its clients tailor-made career services including a flagship series of career practitioner training programs. Uyen joins the program to level up her bootstrapped brand.

Bart Schulte - Netherlands

Parcel delivery can be afflicted by inequitable earnings as well as the environmental challenge of shipping emissions. Bart is working towards creating a collaboration between parcel carriers, local entrepreneurs, local organizations and the local government to effectively manage this.

Carolien Wiltink - Netherlands

Passionate about branding and sustainability, Carolien is on a mission to create a more sustainable world.  She joins the programme to work on Broot, a passion project that is set-up by Angel Figueroa Mayordomo and others when living in Bali. Broot is an active sportswear brand in the making, with everything made out of Bamboo, produced in Bali. 

Cinthya Sopaheluwakan - Oslo, Norway

Cinthya is on a mission to help companies on their journey to become sustainable, regenerative, inclusive, and tell their stories. She joined the cohort to create an impactful brand.

Edo Paymans - The Netherlands

Together with his colleague Mirte, Edo is creating a line of CBD infused sparkling drinks, and knows the brand for his product will be the critical factor in his success. He joins us to get ‘Holy Ganja’ off to a sparkling start.

Mirte Blokker - The Netherlands

Mirte is passionate about Product Management and User Experience design. For the programme, she partners with Edo Paymans on a line of CBD infused sparkling drinks.

Ioanna Serafeimidou - Greece

Ioanna is a passionate Family Friendly Culture Advocate. She is the Founder of The Fireflies online platform, which is focusing on family quality leisure time in the city. After 12 years of active dialogue with parents and local businesses she is now ready for a creative rebranding, focusing on the new social needs of the decade. She aspires to get more clarity during the Brand the Change Academy.
