Fireside Chat about navigating a career in branding with Alvin Chan (creative director Nike, G-Star, Samsung)

Hosted online | Members only
8AM RIO DE JANEIRO • 12:00PM BERLIN • 2:00PM NAIROBI • 7:00PM MANILA TIME

We're joined by Alvin Chan, who has 30 years of experience creating world-class work for brands like Nike, G-Star Raw and Samsung.

He's seen it all: from his first role as a designer at a boutique design studio to an in-house creative director at global brands like G-Star Raw and Nike.

Alvin also combines the different perspectives of East and West. He was born in Malaysia, brought up in Australia, and came to Europe in his twenties. From Europe, he worked globally, with a longer period of work out of Seoul (a city we both worked in and loved). He is now back in Europe again, working for clients in the sports apparel space through his agency Superlarge

I speak to Alvin about how he has navigated his career, the pros and cons of agency life versus in-house, the benefits of living between cultures, and about fighting for what you believe in.
